Army chief calls on PM Shehbaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met on Tuesday with Chief of Staff General Kamar Javed Bajwa.

This was their first meeting after being elected Prime Minister.

"Professional issues related to national security were discussed during the meeting," the Prime Minister's Office said in a statement.

The army chief, according to ISPR Director-General Major General Babar Iftikar, was unable to attend the PM's inauguration on April 11 because he was ill.
